About Shiatsu

For your first visit a detailed history will be obtained. Your shiatsu session lasts approxametly 50 minutes and you remain fully clothed as the acupressure is applied through warm and comforting blankets. Shiatsu takes place on the floor, and a special body cushion is used to provide maximum comfort and support moulding to the contours of your body.

Your energy is observed and the meridian work will be focused on re-balancing the energy. The treatment is tailored to the presenting condition, example, neck and should tension, and also possible underlying causes of energy imbalance. No two treatments are the same, and treatments vary from person to person.

After your treatment, you may feel tired and are advised to rest and drink pleanty of water, which will help the detoxification process. Sometimes you may feel totally energised as your energy has been re-balanced.

Contraindications:
The following conditions are contraindicated for Shiatsu treatment: Fever, infections, cancer, heart disease, open cuts, bruises, scar tissue, varicose veins, injury or swelling, osteoporosis, within the first three months of pregnancy.
